A Coastal Anniversary

I've always dreamed about driving down the 101. The smell of dank forest mixing with the salty air of the sea. Catching fresh seafood, wandering down the beach collecting sea glass and exploring tide pools. I pictured myself drinking wine and eating fancy cheese on the beach while I watched waves crash into the rocks. Don't get me wrong, Michigan has miles and miles of beautiful beaches, but I always longed to see the pacific ocean with its dramatic cliffs and rocky shores.
Alex and I decided what better way to spend our one year anniversary in Oregon together than to make our first trip to the coast. We decided on Cape Perpetua, which is the central coast of Oregon in the Siusulaw National Forest. We got the best little campsite across the road from the ocean and happened to be blessed with beautiful 80 degree and sunny weather! I was kinda prepared for wet, rainy and foggy as I hear the Oregon coast is, but I really almost went swimming.
